Scientific Career Coaching

You Have the Science.
Let's Figure Out the Direction.

One-on-one career orientation for scientists who know their field — but aren't sure what comes next. No generic advice. No templates. A real conversation with someone who has been there.

GA

"Over the years, colleagues and students have called me at turning points in their careers — finishing a PhD, leaving academia, unsure whether to go into industry, thinking about starting something of their own. I found myself having the same conversations again and again, and I realized: this kind of honest, experienced guidance is hard to find."

I have a dual PhD, research experience across four continents, and over a decade working at the intersection of academia and industry. I have navigated career transitions myself — and I have built a network across chemistry, materials science, life sciences, and biotech that I am genuinely happy to open up.

If you are a scientist trying to figure out your next chapter, I want to hear from you.

Scientists at a Crossroads

This is not for everyone — and that is intentional. Career coaching works best when the fit is right. Here is who tends to get the most out of these conversations.

PhD Students & Candidates

Finishing Your PhD and Not Sure What's Next

Academia or industry? Postdoc or direct hire? Which companies are worth targeting? What does your PhD actually translate to in the real world? These are the questions we work through together.

Postdocs & Early-Career Scientists

Ready to Move — But Not Sure Where

You have the technical depth. What you need is clarity on how to position yourself, which sectors actually fit your background, and how to navigate a job market that does not always speak your language.

Scientists Considering Independence

Thinking About Consulting or Starting Something

If you are wondering whether you can turn your scientific expertise into an independent practice — consulting, advising, or building something of your own — this is a conversation worth having before you make any decisions.

No Agenda. Just the Conversation You Need.

Every scientist's situation is different. We do not follow a script. What we cover depends entirely on where you are and what you need most. Some common areas:

Academia vs. industry Postdoc decisions Career pivots Reading a job market Building your scientific identity Translating your PhD Networking as a scientist Moving internationally Starting a consulting practice Finding your niche Industry sectors that fit your background What companies actually look for

Beyond the Conversation

Where relevant, I can connect you directly with people in my network — across chemistry, advanced materials, life sciences, biotech, and consulting — in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

This is not a generic LinkedIn introduction. If I make a connection, it is because I believe it is genuinely useful for where you are trying to go.

Simple. Honest. No Commitment to Start.

Send a short email or book a free intro call directly via Calendly. Tell me briefly where you are in your career and what you are trying to figure out. No long form, no CV required to start.

02

Free Intro Call — 30 Minutes

We get on a call. You tell me your situation. I ask questions. We figure out together whether these conversations would be useful for you and what format makes sense. There is no pitch and no pressure. If I am not the right person to help you, I will say so.

03

Follow-Up Sessions

If the intro is useful, we continue. This can be a single focused session, a short series over a few weeks, or ongoing check-ins as your situation evolves. We structure it around what actually helps — not a fixed program.

04

Introductions & Next Steps

Where it makes sense, I make introductions from my network. Every follow-up is purposeful — we are always moving you toward something concrete, not just talking in circles.

The Intro Call Is Free.
